On July 7 Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed on his way to work by masked agents in unmarked vehicles in Houston Texas. An immigrant from Mexico, his 3 sons are US citizens.
Barely a week later on July 13 Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero was shot and killed during a traffic stop on his way to work in Biddeford, Maine. His wife and 3 year old daughter were in the car. An immigrant from Columbia, he had a work permit and social security number. This incident was personal for me as my son went to college in Biddeford and we often passed the intersection with Johan was murdered.
