Member of the State Assembly, 72nd District

California’s 72nd State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assemblydistricts. It is currently represented by Republican Diane Dixon.

 Voter registration as of April 3: 32.05% Democrats, 39.51% Republicans, 21.42% NPP.

Local republicans including the Lincoln club have gotten behind outspoken Huntingdon Beach City Council member Gracey Van Der Mark. Democrat Chris Kluwe opposed her in Huntingdon Beach Council meetings and now is running against her for the Assembly. Despite prior experience in the Assembly and the endorsement of the OC Register, Matthew Harper does not seem to be drawing much interest.
