Overview
This page provides links to candidate information for the California primary election scheduled for June 2, 2026. Each elected office has its own page with linked pages for the prominent candidates running for that office. This site focuses on offices relevant to Newport Beach.
In keeping with the Indivisible policy of non-partisanship, we do not endorse any candidate but try to be reasonably objective with the information provided. Nonetheless, we admit that the information is inevitably somewhat biased in what we choose to present. As Stephen Colbert observed: “Reality has a well-known liberal bias”.

Election Synopsis
Of the races listed here, two that are both competitive and most significant are the governor’s race and the county supervisor for the 5th district between Diane Dixon and Katrina Foley. In recent elections the United State Representative, 47th District that covered Newport has been highly competitive but the 2025 gerrymandering split Republican votes between the 42nd and 47th districts, making these election lean Democratic. Most of the state offices heavily favor Democrats but some are still competitive as there are more than one Democrat running.
